Supporting Smart Futures for young students

EY_Foundation_Beam_RGBGive Us A Chance is pleased to support Smart Futures, a unique work experience programme for Year 12/Fifth year students in England and Scotland. The new programme aims to equip students with a variety of new skills that will give them a head start in their chosen career.

The ten month programme, which is open to all state school students that have been eligible for free school meals within the past six years, starts with paid work experience over the Easter or summer breaks.

There are no academic entry criteria, and students can gain new skills in business, work within a team, and get some real hands on experience.

Students are also allocated a mentor, who will support them over the programme, and provide career advice, whether their ambitions are to continue education or enter the workplace.

Smart Futures is run by the EY Foundation, which raises funds to help young people find alternative routes into work and education, or even to help them set up a business.
