Stockport Homes joins GUAC

We are very pleased to announce Stockport Homes as one of our newest members.
Robin Burman, Chair of the Board, Stockport Homes said: “We are really pleased to be joining Give us a Chance at the start of a new year.  Whilst Stockport is a relatively affluent borough, we manage properties with high levels of deprivation.

“We significantly invest in supporting our local residents into local employment and training opportunities, having supported 300 people to take up jobs in the past 12 months. We look forward to working with Give us a Chance and other housing providers to raise the profile of our work and support even more residents into employment.”

Stockport Homes was formed in 2005, to manage housing stock across Stockport on behalf of Stockport Council. As a limited company, it operates as an ALMO which is an ‘Arm’s length management organisation’, so whilst the company is owned by the Council, it operates independently on day-to-day matters and delivering services to customers.
