New GUAC Chair elected

Give us a Chance (GUAC) board members have elected a new Chair of the Board, following Jayne Entwistle’s departure from Great Places.

Board member Jon Fisher, Head of Communities at Sovereign, takes over the role as Chair from today, Monday 10th September.

Speaking of his appointment, Jon Fisher said:
“I am delighted to be appointed Chair of Give us a Chance, and to continue to build on the great work of outgoing Chair, Jayne Entwistle.

Taking on this new role comes at an important time – unemployment amongst social housing tenants is twice the national average and economic inactivity is three times higher, whilst they continue to face far greater boundaries and hurdles to gaining meaningful employment than many other sections of society.

I look forward to working with the Board, our members and supporters as we continue to promote the work of housing associations who help people into work”
