Industrial Dwelling Society Joins Give us a Chance
Give us a Chance (GUAC) are delighted to welcome the Industrial Dwelling Society (IDS) to our membership.
IDS owns and manages around 1,500 homes across London and Essex. Since its initial establishment in 1885, it has helped London’s diverse communities with their housing needs as well as employment support, community investment and tenant engagement within the framework of their Jewish heritage.
Speaking on becoming a GUAC member, Suzanne Wolfe, CEO at IDS, said, “We are delighted to join the leading consortium of the social landlords. For 134 years, IDS has been helping London’s communities thrive, not only regards to housing but also with employment and training.
Throughout our history, we have been working with a range of community organisations to help many tenants access qualifications, training programmes and employment. For example, through our partnership with Arsenal in the Community, we supported young residents across our estates into funded training and skills schemes.
Most recently, through the Transform & Achieve programme, we helped community members to build skills and confidence and access work and training.
We are excited to see how we can strengthen our portfolio in the employment support and training agenda with the robust support and network of GUAC on our back
