City Deal Working Together joins GUAC
GUAC is delighted to welcome City Deal Working Together Project (part of the Accord group) to our membership. Accord are the lead organisation for the ‘Black Country City Deal Working Together Pilot’, a place-based employment support demonstration project delivered in four of the most deprived wards in the area from 2015-18. The Working Together project has supported 2623 customers and moved 428 into work with a sustainability rate of 70%. Its delivered over 6,000 soft outcomes including digital inclusion, increased confidence, increased skills and qualifications. There will be a briefing session on this pilot at the upcoming Employment and Skills Convention in London delivered by ‘Future Excel’, the evaluators of the pilot. The GUAC Midlands Housing Employment Forum is also going strong and looks forward to welcoming The City Deal Working Together Project to their meetings from now on.
